Overview
- This strategy will support the development of “centers of excellence” in areas of national ICT priority and areas where Sri Lanka may emerge as global specialists.
Purpose?
- To enable Sri Lanka to identify and take advantage of domestic and global business opportunities in the ICT field.
- To encourage innovation and excellence in the ICT industry
Beneficiaries?
- Companies that are currently undertaking/ have undertaken patenting/ IPR in approved research areas.
How?
- Grants would be given to companies that have undertaken patenting/ IPR in approved research areas subject to that research/ patent having being completed in the last 6 months.
- Priority areas will be defined and approved by ICBP Focus Group
