Overview
- The intention of this strategy is to provide commercially driven R&D grants for innovation in ICT, in areas where Sri Lanka already has comparative and absolute advantages from a domain perspective.
Purpose?
- To provide Sri Lanka’s thrust industries a competitive edge over its global competitors by promoting ICT innovation with significance across the sector and potential to advance Sri Lanka as a world leader in thrust industries.
Beneficiaries?
- Companies carrying out R&D initiatives based on ICT applications in industries identified as Key Areas of Focus
How?
- Funding will be granted on a cost share basis (Industry Association to contribute 50% of costs and balance 50% through a grant subsidy) to develop ICT innovation of significance in their business sector with application across the sector.
