Are there any common templete to draft a Annual Work Plan  How we request budget allocation funds for ICT related activities All Plans and Budget put in one document or seperate. Any ideas from CIO's who already started deverloping ICT Plan |

I guess we all have the ICT policy and 14 areas to be address to comply with e-Gov policy. We have to start with the implementation of the activities for said 14 areas. Once we achieved the basic levels expected, we could move forward with formulating e-Gov applications (Such as e-pension, e-revenue license ....), which might be institution specific.
As government organizations, we have to submit annual budget and this is the time, that we have to submit the budget for 2011. We can identify the ICT projects & activities for the year 2011 with the budgetary estimates. The projects and activities might be maintenance and/or acquisition of ICT infrastructure/hardware/software, human capacity building and any other projects and activities on e-applications etc.

Please correct me if I am in the wrong directions.

Dear ICTA
This is the time for Budget finalization with the Treasury. In coming budget for year 2011 I have included budget for ICT activities in the department.
I have included Rs. 3.5 million for ICT infrastructure and maintenance. (Server + data backup storage + networking with regional offices + basic ICT infrastructure at regions + software licenses + maintenance of software and hardware)
Rs. 500,000 for ICT training for staff.
But there is a huge budget reductions in all activities. Could ICTA support us for getting requested allocations for ICT budget from the Treasury?

If I add some more to Bandula's request,
Inclusion of ICT budget is a requirement of the ICT policy and the ICTA is also under Presidential Secretariat. I hope this is a easy task if it comes from the top. Immediate response is required as all Districts have to submit the budget estimates before 20th of September 2010
