ICTA, the co-hosts of FutureGov SAARC Summit 2012, signed on Intel as the Knowledge Partner for the forum. As the longest running e-Governance conference in the region, FutureGov SAARC Summit 2012 takes a comprehensive look at the issues at the heart of information management for the Sri Lankan public sector.

“Intel has time and again helped us in our e-governance initiatives with their expertise and valuable global experiences. The FutureGov SAARC Summit 2012, with Intel as the Knowledge Partner, will take us closer to the ‘Mahinda Chintanaya’- vision of turning Sri Lanka into a knowledge Hub,” stated  Reshan Dewapura, CEO, ICTA.

Bringing together experts from around the world, FutureGov SAARC Summit 2012 will provide a unique opportunity for public sector buyers and private sector solution providers to learn from one another. The forum will focus on key areas of ICT adoption in governance including digital inclusion, mobile government, large scale data management, information security, and cloud computing. Backed by in-depth research and conversations with senior regional government employees, the event promises to provide tailored solutions to region specific issues in e-governance.

“We see that the Sri Lankan government is keen on leveraging ICT to provide better citizen-centric services and are glad to partner with them in this endeavor. As the Knowledge Partner for FutureGov SAARC Summit 2012, we look forward to sharing our experiences from working as a trusted ICT advisor for Governments around the world.” said Indika de Zoysa, Intel Country Business Manager for Sri Lanka.

At the helm of the e-Sri Lanka initiative, ICTA has helped forge partnerships between thought leaders, ICT Solution providers, Ministries and other government agencies to drive policy and infrastructure changes necessary for effective ICT adoption.  Through forums such as the FutureGov SAARC Summit 2012, the agency strives to promote learning and adoption of best practices in e-governance.
