Content Policy/Offline and Online Content

Our objective is to facilitate the socio economic development of Sri Lanka through knowledge empowerment of its people.

Methodology:
Make available a range of information as required by the people in their day to day lives, through an ICT platform. Information may range from education, health, agricultural to that related to business and employment opportunities and can be broadly classified as:

  • Internet based or online content
  • Offline content

In sourcing the content we have had extensive collaboration and cooperation from Government, Non – Government, Private and Community Based Organizations as well as individuals.The ownership of all such content is retained by the contributing organization or individual. Reproducing or copying this content for commercial purposes is prohibited while its use for non commercial purposes will be subject to the consent of those who own such content.

Internet Based or Online Content
The access of local content in local language to meet the needs of the community as well as the exchange of information and knowledge between and within communities is facilitated through online content.

Even in the absence of connectivity it is possible for communities to access their knowledge requirements through the use of offline content.

The ownerships of software applications and content compiled/ published here by the Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka rests with the- Government, Non-Government, Private or Community based organization producing such software or content.
