இலங்கைக்கு வெளியே முதலாவது அறிவகம் ஐக்கிய அரபு ராஜ்ஜியத்தில்

இலங்கைக்கு வெளியே இலங்கையின் முதலாவது அறிவகம் (நெணசல) ஐக்கிய அரபு ராஜ்ஜியத்தில் ஸ்தாபிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
ஐக்கிய அரபு ராஜ்ஜியத்தின் இலங்ககை தூதுவராலயத்தில் இவ் அறிவகம் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக இலங்கை தகவல் தொடர்பாடல் தொழில்நுட்ப முகவர் நிலையம் தெரிவிக்கிறது.
இலங்கையில் இருந்து ஐக்கிய அரபு ராஜ்ஜியம் சென்றுள்ள இலங்கையர்களின் வசதிகருதி இது அமைக்கப்பட்டதாக முகவர் நிலையம் குறிப்பிடுகிறது.
நவீன தகவல் தொடர்பாடல் வசதிகளை இந்த அறிகவம் உள்ளடக்கியதாகும் என்று முகவர் நிலையம் கூறுகிறது.
அங்குள்ள, இலங்கையர்களுக்கு இந்த அறிவகத்திற்கு சென்று இலங்கையில் உள்ள உறவுகளுடன் தகவல்களைப் பரிமாறவும்,கணினிப் பயிற்சியைப் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளவும் வசதிகள் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளதாக முகவர் நிலையம் குறிப்பிடுகிறது.
ஒரு இலட்சத்திற்கும் அதிகமான இலங்கையர்கள் ஐக்கிய அரபு ராஜ்ஜியதில் தொழில்புரிகிறார்கள்.
ஆயிரம் அறிவகங்களை அமைக்கும் ஜனாதிபதி மஹிந்த ராஜபக்ஷ அவர்களின் எண்ணக்கருவிற்கு அமைய இது வரை இலங்கையில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள அறிவகங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை 665 (அறுநூற்று அறுபத்து ஐந்து) ஆகும்.

Lanka Government Network to be taken over by ICTA subsidiary

The Cabinet of Ministers has authorized supplementary funding amounting to approximately Rs. 74 million to enable a subsidiary owned by ICTA to maintain and operate the Lanka Government Network (LGN), beyond August 2011.
The LGN was initially established under a Korean Government funded program through a managed services contract implemented by Samsung Networks Inc. The objective was to establish a government wide network with basic IT infrastructure under the e-Sri Lanka Development Project, through which Government services could be provided by electronic means to ensure greater efficiency in the delivery of Government services.

The first phase connected 325 Government locations (including several Provincial Councils, District Secretariats and Divisional Secretariats) across the country and the second phase connected additional 150 locations, with additional focus in underserved areas.
With the end of the warranty period the maintenance and operations of the LGN has to be gradually taken over by the Government. For this purpose ICTA has already established a fully-owned subsidiary, under ICTA supervision, called "Lanka Government Information Infrastructure Ltd", to take over the maintenance and operation of the LGN.

அறுநூற்றுப் பதினைந்தாவது, அறிவக நிலையத்தை களிநொச்சியில் பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர், நாமல் ராஜபக்ஸ திறந்துவைத்தார்.
வட மாகாணத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட்ட 12வது அறிகவ நிலையம் இதுவாகும் என்று இலங்கை தகவல் தொடர்பாடல்
தொழில்நுட்ப முகவர் நிலையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
வடக்குக் கிழக்கு மாகாண மக்களுக்கு வழங்கும் தகவல் தொடர்பாடல் வசதிகளை மேலும் விஸ்தரிக்க இதன் மூலம் வாய்ப்புக் கிட்டும் என்று முகவர் நிலையத்தின், பிரதம நிறைவேற்று அதிகாரி, ரெஷான் வேப்புர தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
