The Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) has come out with its third quarterly newsletter for the year.
In the lead article of this year’s third quarterly newsletter in the three languages – The Catalyst, Nenapatha and Arivedu – ICTA focuses on the good news of Sri Lanka’s networked readiness (NRI) having gone up as per the Global Information Technology Report 2008-2009 released by the World Economic Forum recently.
A new feature in this year’s newsletters is the English and ICT Catalyst Crossword Puzzle Competition conducted through the Catalyst. This coincides with the declaration of 2009 as the Year of English and ICT by President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Prizes are scheduled to be given to winners in the English and ICT Catalyst Crossword Puzzle Competition. The last date by which entries should be received by the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka for the English and ICT Catalyst Crossword Puzzle Competition 3 (2009) is June 30, 2009. Readers who wish to participate in the crossword puzzle competition could submit their entries either by ordinary mail or online. Those who wish to submit their completed crossword puzzle by ordinary mail could do so with the completed crossword drawn or pasted on a post-card or inserted into an envelope with their postal address clearly indicated. Those wishing to submit their completed crossword online could do so by clicking the "English and ICT Crossword Competition" tag that appears on the home page of the same website www.icta.lk.
