Cloud computing has become a fundamental technology which offers cost savings, flexibility, and improved efficiency in service delivery. The adoption of cloud technology ensures security, privacy, and integrity of government data.
Accordingly, the policy discusses the importance and necessity of shifting from traditional data storage mechanisms to more secure and robust ways whilst ensuring data security. It recognizes ‘Cloud Computing Storage’ as the most suitable and secure mechanism for the government organizations to continue with data storage; eliminating inefficiencies, risks, delays and time/cost factors associated with manual data storage methods. It necessitates the government organizations to obtain the optimal use of emerging technological advancements to facilitate an efficient and effective service delivery.
This policy document is still in its draft stage thus, open for the inclusion of any constructive feedback.
මේඝ පරිගණක තාක්ෂණය (Cloud Computing) පිරිවැය ඉතිරිකිරීම, නම්යශීලී බව සහ සේවා සැපයීමේදී වැඩි දියුණු කළ කාර්යක්ෂමතාවයක් ලබා දෙන මූලික තාක්ෂණයක් බවට පත්ව ඇත. මෙමඟින් දත්තවල ආරක්ෂාව, පෞද්ගලිකත්වය සහ අඛණ්ඩතාව සහතික කරයි.
ඒ අනුව, යල්පැනගිය ක්රමවේදයන්ගෙන් බැහැරව වඩා ආරක්ෂිත සහ විධිමත් ක්රමවේදයකට දත්ත එක්රැස් කොට ගබඩාකිරීමේ වැදගත්කම සහ අවශ්යතාවය පිළිබඳව මෙම ප්රතිපත්තිය සාකච්ඡා කරයි. දත්ත ගබඩාකිරීමේ ක්රමවේදයන් හා බැඳුනු අකාර්යක්ෂමතාවය, අවධානම, ප්රමාදය, පිරිවැය සහ කාලය යනාදී ගැටළු වලින් බැහැරව දත්ත එක්රැස් කොට ගබඩාකිරීම සඳහා රාජ්ය ආයතන වලට වඩා ගැළපෙන සහ ආරක්ෂාකාරීම ක්රමවේදය ‘මේඝ පරිගණක ගබඩා’ ක්රමය ලෙස මෙම ප්රතිපත්තිය හඳුන්වාදෙයි. තව ද නැගී එන තාක්ෂණයන් ඵලදායී ලෙස භාවිතා කරමින් කාර්යක්ෂම අයුරින් තම සේවාවන් සැපයීමට මෙම ප්රතිපත්තිය මඟින් රාජ්ය ආයතන දිරිමත් කරයි.
මෙම ප්රතිපත්ති ලේඛනය තවමත් එහි කෙටුම්පත් අදියරේ පවතින බැවින් ඕනෑම අර්ථවත් සහ ඵලදායී ප්රතිපෝෂණයක් ඇතුළත් කිරීම සඳහා විවෘතය.
