In 2014 ICTA produced a video under the brand ‘Sri Lanka IT BPM Destination’. This video was first screened at the Business Networking event organised in Sydney, Australia in 2014. ‘Wow, this makes me feel proud to be Sri Lankan’ was the first impression by a delegate who was part of the business mission. The participants which were Sri Lankan expats and Australians were awestruck by the facts and figures displayed which laid the foundation for fruitful business discussions with the delegation.
Throughout the years this video was played at overseas business missions, exhibitions, and numerous local events. We can proudly say that Sri Lanka IT BPM Destination Video was the most viewed Country Branding video targeting the dynamic IT BPM Industry. The video started doing rounds on Whatsapp recently which is also being shared to many groups and individuals.
Even though this video was created to position the country as an IT BPM Destination it happened to become something much greater. It has become a source of pride for the talented workforce of an Industry which is perceived as the fasted growing Industry in Sri Lanka. It’s 2017 but still it’s been proudly shared. We have a comment on youtube saying “I’m not srilanka, but I’m so proud of this country….” hence it has created a sense of “I want to be part of that” among others.
Sri Lanka IT BPM Destination became the banner which its stakeholders rallied around.
ICTA has been in the forefront of country branding through the collaterals developed and numerous amount of country pitches at various gatherings across many destinations.
