Global Entrepreneurship Week to be hosted by ICTA

On the 13th of November, the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka will proudly host the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in Sri Lanka, marking the continuation of a three-year commitment until 2024. GEW, a global initiative recognized in over 200 countries, is orchestrated by the Global Entrepreneurs Network (GEN) and serves as a catalytic force for entrepreneurs worldwide. Commencing from November 13th to November 19th, 2023, this year's GEW promises to be an exhilarating journey of collaboration, learning, and empowerment.

GEW 2023 in Sri Lanka will revolve around four central themes: ecosystems, education, inclusion, and policy. These themes aim to celebrate and empower entrepreneurs across various sectors by fostering collaboration among local entrepreneurs, investors, and researchers.

Throughout GEW 2023, a series of insightful discussions will unfold, inspiring aspiring startups to transform ideas into reality, fueling economic growth, and enhancing the well-being of individuals. The event will particularly assist aspiring entrepreneurs in overcoming hurdles to launch and scale their businesses. Additionally, established entrepreneurs will find valuable advice and networking opportunities, fostering business growth and accessibility to entrepreneurship and innovation. Notably, GEW serves as a platform to ignite a passion for business among the younger generation, cultivating a future generation of innovators.
